HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
Easy peasy! Just follow the "Book A Session" button on in the navigation bar or click here.

HOW FAR OUT SHOULD I BOOK A SESSION?
I'd suggest booking within the current year to secure your spot.

WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST FOR THE SHOOT?
For the best lighting, aim for right after sunrise or about 90 minutes before sunset. You can also check out the specific times for your local blue hour, sunrise/sunset, and golden hours. But no worries, even if it's direct sunlight, I'm skilled at making it work and capturing those natural light moments. If you are wanting to book a studio session, this does not apply.

HOW DO I CHOOSE A LOCATION FOR THE SHOOT?
I've scouted various spots throughout Denver County over the years, and I've got some great  go-to areas to recommend. When we're in the booking process, you'll have the chance to choose a location that's special to you, or you can pick from my suggestions. We'll lock in the final location after our pre-planning and coordination meeting.

CAN I BRING MY DOG TO THE SESSION?
I'm a big fan of dogs, but this depends on the package and location. Let's chat more about it in our pre-planning session.

CAN I BRING MY FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER TO MY SESSION?
Absolutely, I want you to feel comfortable during the session. Just keep it reasonable and respectful.

WHERE DO I CHANGE OUTFITS?
I will always try my best to suggest locations that have changing facilities nearby. If not, I will communicate with you when the area we are going to does not provide restrooms. In the past, my team and I have improvised changing tents to make sure you look fabulous and still have privacy.

HOW MANY OUTFITS CAN I BRING?
For outfit options, you'll want to take a look at the package you're interested in. I've got some tips on what to wear, and bringing layers is a great way to switch up your look without needing a full outfit change.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE?
Life happens, and I get that. If you give me at least 7 days' notice and we reschedule within 2 weeks (as long as there's availability), your deposit will still be good. Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable, and there's a $50 fee for rescheduling outside the 2 week period.

IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?
Once you've signed the contract, you'll get all the nitty-gritty details. However, the 30% retainer you put down to secure your booking is non-refundable. It's part of maintaining a sustainable business. Don't fret—this amount goes toward your total booking cost.

HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY THE BALANCE?
Once we've confirmed my availability for your requested date, I'll send you a link to your very own client portal. There, you can sort out all the paperwork and make your initial 30% retainer payment. The remaining balance is due a week before your session. If you're looking to book within 14 days of your shoot, the full balance is needed.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DIGITAL FILES?
Nope, I've made things easy with all-inclusive packages. When you choose a package, you'll have the rights to download and print a certain number of images. To check out the details, head over to my Pricing Guide. Additional fees apply for commercial usage.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I RECEIVE?
The number of photos you'll receive depends on the package you decide to roll with. You'll find all the specifics in your invoice when you book. Remember, packages can also be customized if you would like to add more images to your session. Additionally, there's an option to purchase extra images during the selection process.

DO I CHOOSE MY PHOTOS?
Yes, you absolutely get to choose your photos. After our shoot, I take the initial step of filtering through the images to remove any that are out of focus, have unflattering angles, odd expressions, or are too dark or light. Then, I'll send you a link to a proofing gallery containing these pre-selected images, all of which have undergone basic edits for light and color. From this gallery, you're free to select your favorites. Those chosen will receive further retouching for the final deliverables. Your involvement is crucial, and I'm here to ensure you're thrilled with the end results. This process is flexible and can be tailored to meet your specific needs.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EDITING AND RETOUCHING?
Editing covers the general adjustments like lighting, color, and mood. When it comes to retouching, it's all about the finer details. That means things like removing blemishes, enhancing skin, tidying up hair, and getting rid of inconsistencies. I've got an eye for what's distracting, so trust me on that. Every delivered portrait & fashion session gets these treatments. Please note that I DO NOT alternate facial features or body shapes.

HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR OVERALL PHOTOGRAPHY AND EDITING STYLE?
I focus on creating vintage inspired and editorial-quality photos. To enhance the visuals, I add a touch of grain and fine-tune the lighting in each image. When it comes to retouching, I pay special attention to refining skin and facial features to highlight your best self. This means no blemishes, eye bags, strange shadows, or dark eyes. To maintain a consistent look, I use custom editing presets for every session. This brings out vibrant, nostalgic, and cinematic tones, giving the images a special mood. I am deeply inspired by my love for the fashion/film industry and bring this to every session I do.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY PHOTOS?
Depending on how many images you purchased, the final photos will be ready in about 1-2 weeks up to 4-6 weeks after the session. I will communicate with you throughout the process if anything changes. I'm all about quality, so the editing and retouching process takes a bit of time. I appreciate your patience in advance! Once photos are delivered, you have 7 days to request complimentary revisions on color, lighting, or other basic edits. Any further edits outside the 7-day period or that require more than one hour of work are subject to an additional fee, per photo.

HOW DO I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Exciting stuff! You'll get an email from me with a link to your online gallery. From there, you can download and share your images with whom you please. I'll also provide a print release, general guidelines, and commercial licenses (if applicable) so you can easily understand your usage terms.

DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE DENVER AREA?
Definitely! If you're outside Denver County, there are some fees that apply. Check out the details in my Pricing Guide, and feel free to reach out for custom quotes if you're thinking about national or international travel.

DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS?
I'm all about elopements and ceremonies with fewer than 20 people.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
As of April 2024, I'm switching between two camera bodies: a Nikon D810 and a Fujifilm X-T2.

CAN I GET THE RAW/NON-EDITED PHOTOS?
Generally, no. But let's have a conversation about it.
