In this family photo session, I explored new creative terrain. As a Denver-based freelance photographer specializing in portraits and fashion, I'm accustomed to capturing familiar faces. This shoot, my first commercial assignment, took place at bustling Denver's Union Station. Establishing a quick connection with my clients, a close friend and her lively grandchildren, was key. I focused on natural light to highlight each individual's character, blending planned prompts with spontaneous moments. The photos, brimming with genuine connection, reflected the essence of family life. This experience honed my skills in directing poses and time management, underscoring the beauty of authenticity in photography.
